The Cindy Sherman In Me

Finding Cindy Sherman In Me
[My photography]
For Part II of the Biography project we had to take our research from Part I and apply it to creating our own piece of work inspired from the person assigned to us (mine being Cindy Sherman). I wanted to create my project in the style of one of Cindy Shermans early works. I didn't want to redue her work, so I decided to put a different twist on it. If you didn't know already, Cindy Sherman is notorious for dressing up as all sorts of different people in her photography, which is why I wanted to do the opposite, and have all sorts of different people dress up as me. I was really inspired by her early work that was part of her "Untitled" series. They are black and white and very simple, with only one or two other elements in them. This particular project was one created while studying abroad in London at the Chelsea College of Art and Design.
